Arcade Fire turned indie rock into something huge, emotional and orchestral. Formed in Montreal in 2001 and led by Win Butler and Régine Chassagne, the band broke through with Funeral in 2004 and won the Grammy for Album of the Year with The Suburbs in 2011. They are an indie rock and art rock band, with baroque pop and dance-rock influences.

The sound
