Filter, Richard Patrick’s industrial-tinged alternative rock band, spent spring 2025 on the road across Canada and the U.S., mixing headline shows with support slots for Bush and festival appearances. The run supported the album The Algorithm (2023) and leaned on the 1990s hits that made the band an alternative radio staple.

About Filter
Formed in Cleveland in the early 1990s by Richard Patrick, a former touring guitarist for Nine Inch Nails, Filter broke through with “Hey Man Nice Shot” from Short Bus (1995) and scored their biggest hit with “Take a Picture” from Title of Record (1999). Their mix of industrial textures and big alternative choruses sits between the grunge era covered in our grunge deep dive and the heavier modern rock that followed.
