6. Cookies, Google Analytics & Similar Technologies

NextWave uses website technology that may include cookies, local storage, tags, pixels, server logs and similar technologies to operate our sites, remember settings, understand traffic, measure content performance and support security.

Google Analytics / Google Tag

NextWave uses Google Analytics and/or Google tagging technology on its website. Depending on NextWave’s configuration and your privacy choices, Google Analytics may collect information such as browser and device information, session statistics, approximate location, website activity and a pseudonymous client identifier stored in a first-party cookie.

Google states that Analytics uses IP addresses at collection time for functions such as service operation and approximate geographic reporting and that raw IP addresses are not logged or stored in Google Analytics.

Your Cookie Choices

Most browsers allow you to block, delete or limit cookies. Doing so may affect certain website functions. Where a consent-management tool is provided, you may also be able to make choices through that interface.

Google provides additional information and tools for controlling Analytics and advertising-related settings through its own privacy and account controls.

7. Public Messages, Dedications & Other User-Submitted Content

Some NextWave features may be designed for public participation, such as song dedications, shout-outs, listener requests, comments, artist features or other community submissions.

If a feature clearly asks you to submit information for public display or broadcast, the name, message, dedication, artist information, social handle or other content you provide may be published on a website, displayed in a station interface, read or played on-air, or otherwise shared as part of the feature.

Do not include private information in a public-facing message that you do not want others to see or hear.

8. When We May Disclose Information

NextWave may disclose information in circumstances such as the following:

  • Within the NextWave network: when needed to route an inquiry, administer a station-specific request, manage programming or operate network services.
  • Service providers: companies that support hosting, forms, email, analytics, payment processing, streaming, security, cloud storage, website operation or other business functions.
  • At your direction: when you ask us to share information or submit content intended for publication, broadcast or another identified recipient.

  • Business transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

Third-party providers may handle information under their own privacy policies, terms and contractual obligations. Their privacy practices may differ from ours.

9. How Long We Keep Information

NextWave retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to administer an ongoing relationship, maintain appropriate business and accounting records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations and protect the security and integrity of our services.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information. For example, general inquiries, artist agreements, payment records, advertising records and product-review submissions may have different operational or legal retention needs.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, NextWave may delete, anonymize or securely dispose of it, subject to backup cycles and lawful retention obligations.

10. Data Security

NextWave uses reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

However, no internet transmission, website, email system, cloud service, payment platform or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Children should obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian before submitting personal information online. If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 was submitted in circumstances where it should not have been collected, we may take reasonable steps to delete it.

13. International Visitors & Data Transfers

NextWave’s websites and streams may be accessed internationally. NextWave is based in the United States, and our service providers may operate in the United States and other countries.

If you access our services from outside the United States, information may be transferred to, processed in or stored in countries whose privacy laws may differ from those in your location. Where required, applicable legal safeguards and service-provider terms may govern those transfers.

NextWave websites may link to or embed third-party services, including streaming providers, social networks, video platforms, payment services, analytics tools, app stores, music services and external websites.

When you leave a NextWave-controlled property or interact directly with a third-party service, that provider’s privacy policy and terms may apply. NextWave does not control the independent privacy practices of third-party websites and services.
